This event is sponsored by: State Farm, PA Teen Safe Driving Coalition, PA DUI Associaiton.

The PA Teen Safe Driving Coalition and State Farm with support from the PA DUI Association will be hosting a Teen Traffic Safety Symposium on April 24, 2017. The purpose of this Symposium is to connect, reevaluate teen driving practices in Pennsylvania, and reengage leaders in the field of teen driver safety.

9:00 AM Welcome and Purpose   


9:15 AM Teen Driving the National Perspective  
This panel will focus on national teen driving trends, research and best practice recommendations to improve teen driving and reduce crashes.  


9:45 AM Teen Driving the State Perspective & Graduated Drivers Licensing in PA  
The focus of this session will include teen crash data, best practices, and program implementation specific to Pennsylvania.


10:45 AM Networking Opportunity.


11:00 AM Drivers Education in Pennsylvania
Panelist will discuss current trends, areas of improvement and the impact of Drivers Education in Pennsylvania.   


12:00 PM Networking Lunch Lunch will be provided.

 


1:00 PM The Survivor Advocate  
Survivor advocates have a significant role in reducing teen crashes in Pennsylvania.  This panel of survivor advocates will share their local successes in creating safer roadways for our teens.  


1:45 PM Networking Opportunity 


2:00 PM Available Technology to Reduce Teen Crashes
Technology has a role in the advancement of safe transportation this panel will discuss the many ways technology can be used to engage teen drivers and reduce crashes.  


2:45 PM Solutions for Teen Driver Safety in Pennsylvania  
Participants will provide input on short term and long term solutions to reducing teen driver crashes and fatalities on our roadways.
